How To Join Our AAU Program

Our goal is to make the process of joining our program clear, professional, and simple for both athletes and parents. This structure allows families to fully understand expectations, commitment, and opportunity without the need for repeated phone calls.

1. Athlete Evaluation (Tryout or Private Workout)

All athletes must be evaluated before being considered for placement.

If official tryouts have already taken place, the athlete will be scheduled for a private evaluation session with our coaching staff.

During the evaluation, we assess the complete basketball profile, including:

• Basketball IQ and understanding of the game

• Strengths and areas for development

• Shooting form, mechanics, and consistency

• Ball-handling, attacking ability, and decision-making

• Defensive technique, footwork, and positioning

• Court awareness, communication, and leadership

• Effort level, body language, and coachability

This allows us to evaluate not only talent, but work ethic, mentality, and long-term potential.

2. Exposure & Player Development System

Our program is built around true player development and real exposure, not oversized rosters.

We intentionally limit rosters to 9–10 athletes per team. Most AAU programs carry 14–16 players, which creates:

• Limited repetitions in practice

• Reduced skill development

• Inconsistent playing time

• Confidence issues

• Athletes getting benched after one mistake

• Coaches unable to truly teach at a high level

Smaller rosters allow:

• Detailed instruction

• Real accountability

• Consistent habit correction

• Game rhythm

• Confidence through opportunity

Our expectation is that when our athletes return to their high school programs, they look more skilled, more confident, more conditioned, and more advanced mentally.

3. Program Cost, Team Selection & Registration

After evaluation, athletes are placed based on skill level, development readiness, and competitive ability. A phone call or in-person meeting will be scheduled to review:

• Team placement

• Player role and expectations

• Travel commitment

• Development plan

• Financial structure

Registration Fee (Separate From Program Cost)

The registration fee secures the athlete’s official roster spot and activates the season. It covers:

• Securing a roster spot and team placement

• Practice gym rentals and training space

• Tryout operations and player evaluations

• Player insurance and liability coverage

• League and circuit registration for the team

• Scheduling, administration, and communication systems

This fee is required within 24–48 hours of selection and is separate from total program cost.
